Making DVDs...

So yeah, I need to find a way to convert MPEG/AVI whatever to a DVD format video, that is playable on close to *all* standard DVD players. Can it be done? Hmm... Just something that *has* to be playable on all player types, since I don't know what kind of DVD player my uncle uses!

I've been using a freeware program called CDBurner XP for burning CDs/DVDs, and their help files have some information about creating video DVDs, as well as links to a few freeware programs that you can use. I looked into the process myself, since I was curious as to whether I could create a DVD out of some OGM files, but the process seems a little complicated, and I haven't had time to fool around with it.

Used NeroVision. Worked good. Took about 3 hours to record a 90 minute movie. Would using the lower quality options be worth it, or is it just total crap?

Ehh, it depends on the size of your source files as much as your output settings (in terms of processing time).

I mean, if your source is only 1/2 or 1/4 DV quality, then just let Nero set the output quality to automatically match.
