So I was at the local pub with a mate, drinking quite a few beers. (ie the usual)
I had my eye on these girls for most of the night and even won a few giggles from a wink or two I sent their way.
With a call to a mate aka wingman it was just a matter of time...
So with beer strengthening my courage I moved outside because it was too cold in the air con and to strategically place myself nearby.
Just when I was about to start chatting to them, they finished their beers and got up to leave. "Aww, you gals arn't leaving are you?" I said with dissapointment.
"Sorry yeah."
So with that they went back inside towards the front door as I cursed myself.
But luck would have it they were having a quick game on the pokies before going out the front door.
So I quickly did what any man would do...
Empty his bladder before the kill.
However once I'd washed my hands and came back out they were gone. So cursing myself further I walked out the front to see where the f### my wingman was. (My other mate is not the wingman type.)
Lo and behold as I was cursing yet again and was turning around to go back in, the girls came out of the bottle-o and walked pass.
'No regrets!' I screamed in my head and went for it.
"Can't offer you girls another drink could I?"
And the tango began. One of them was pretty keen, "just one more..." but the other was pretty persistant about going home. (damnit where was my wingman!)
I chatted to them for a bit longer gaining, an approximation of where they live, and that one of them goes to my uni as she studies nursing.
With that, sadly they finally departed and I went back inside to sip on my beer and curse my wingman for not showing up in time. As it happens, he rocks up about 3 minutes after they left. 3 MINUTES!
That's when it hit me. I forgot to ask for phone numbers. f### IT!

Sigh. With any luck perhaps I'll catch that chick at uni one day. Sigh.
