Breaking the tank on a Gist Seraphim

We tried the bonus stage in Angel Extravagnaza and got whomped. No losses but a rather humiliating defeat considering 3 BCs (me and Yokoso in feroxes, Flip in a proph) and Hippo in a Blackbird completed the first 5 stages in an hour or so. I was trying to tank it with my ferox, but to no avail, it got through 6000 shields rather quickly and nothing much was being done to its shields.
My ferox loadout. I used this for the first 5 stages and didnt get blow 4000 shield:
2x named 150 frigate rails
5x named heavy launchers (4x malkuth and a limos) all with scourge (kin)
3 hammerhead drones
2x Large shield extenders
3x Sheild hardeners (em,kin,therm) resists of 57.5 em, 66 exp, 74 kin, 66 therm
2x CPR
2x Shield power relay

So its weaknesses are explosive damage types, especially on armor and its shields are nearly impervious to lasers. It does 28 Explosive and 8 kinetic with a 7.5x multiplier, coming out to (210 and 60) and also throws mjolnir torpedos. Its supporting cruisers also throw thunderbolt heavies so at least 2 EM hardeners are a must, 2nd would bring be up to 78.75% resist so i could tank the missiles even better than before. Also an explosive hardener would be needed to offset the insane amounts of explosive dmg being thrown as well as a kinetic hardener. So the dilemma is to drop the final large extender for another hardener or a T2 Med booster or just keep the last extender. Using the booster should allow me to throw all dmg mods in the lows as well as trade for 200mm guns in the highs. however that leaves me with 2300 shields or so. So i think the best solution would be to have a single large extender and see what i can fit around it.
Flip would probably need to modify his loadout so he wouldnt have a mishmash of guns on his proph.
