Why the f### can't you get a printer to print some shades of green? E.g. I was doing a test print of some viral marketing posters at home and guess what? My lovely bright shade of green has gone dark!

What did you make the posters in? If you're making them in Photoshop or any other decent graphics application try converting the colour mode of the images to CYMK. You'll get a nearer match to what actually comes out of the printer. Green isn't great when it comes to printing.

It's not that easy being green;

Besing serious for a sec. Have you tried pissing about with your printers colour management options?

Or you could just follow my perfectly reasonable advice and save breaking your printer

Yes, I believe we all have that particular model.

And then "ba dump" from windows.

Yes switch to CMYK for printing and just to be anal, you might as well calibrate your printer, programs, and monitor.

What type of printer is it?
How many ink cartridges does it take?

It's CLAP THUMP BOOM GROAN THUMP, not THUMP CLAP GROAN THUMP CLAP BOOM. Depending on the weight of the sledgehammer, of course.

Sounds like the Epson my family has at home. The damn thing has a startup cycle that takes about a minute and doesn't seem to accomplish anything. At least my old HP Deskjet 694 starts up without any of that, even if its print quality is poorer.

How did it go vyper?

i've got a nice hp 1200 all in one thing... it does weird things at startup as well, and when its printing, the movement of the cartridge resonates with my desk, aming it sway as well...

Heh, you need to get a cartridge of flourescent ink You can buy them at specialist ink stores, and, I think, WHSmith, but they aren't cheap, and, of course, you have to hope they do one that fits your printer.
