I am not getting any video playback in FS2, evrything else works fine.???
I have tried compatability mode and no change.

If you're running FS2_Open 3.6.5 try a build from the recent builds forum. 3.6.5 doesn't play cutscenes.

I am running the original boxed edition (bought on ebay) and updated through the updater. That's one reason why I am confused. It's not open source code; it's the original release of the game.

That is odd. You're not getting anything? Not even the intro when you load the game?

I've heard of people using the no-CD patch having problems but that turned out to be because they weren't inserting the CD and it wasn't nagging them about it

I don't remember hearing about the movies stopping playing in 1.2 after working in 1.0 though.

You could try the 1.2 no CD crack from my website to see if that works any better than the official exe. It's in the HotU crack pack in the downloads secrion. Simply rename your original exe and replace it with the one in the .rar file.
