Well, i figured i'd just let you guys know how things are going in the new career...

Finally moved all my stuff to my new home... Flying a Badger through a couple pretty low sec's isn't very comforting...


Went off on a hunt with some WoRers, hunting a thorax and a maller. Didn't manage to catch them, as they warped to a gate.

Sat in front of a gate with a few other pirates who were afk while trying to decide what to buy phreak, yoko, and flip, and along comes a thorax, sees the flashing yellow all around him, and asks, "Do i ahve to pay to use this gate?" He warped before we could get a good answer to him though...

Picked up an Osprey on scanners while with a WoRer, but found that it was abandoned in somone's safe spot... Went on a wild goosechase for 2 badger mk 2's... Didn't actually find them. Went afk for a bit, came back, warped to home to make insta...

I warped to the moon so i could get to the other side of hte station faster, and then i did, i ran into a POS. I tell the guys about it, and they ask me to set a bookmark for its forcefield. I try, but realise that the idiots who built the tower put it too close to the warp-in point for the moon, and that i was inside the field. It had but one gun, so we marked it as a target, and i went home. Before docking, i scanned at 1au. I picked up a total of 4 force-fields. I quickly jumped from moon to moon in a shuttle, and found the other 3, very similar to the first - one or two guns, large tower, silo's, and all of them were too close to the warp-point... I marked every one of them, so that WoR can strike them when they're bored...

I ran down to Renyn to deliver the gifts i bought, and on the way back, i figured i'd just scan the planet with the most belts. I do,a d i find 2 osprey's mining their hearts out. I call for backup and warp in. As soon as i arrive, i target a random roid and launch drones to feign mining while i move in to scram (i was in an osprey as well, but they were both obviously not well armed). I got to about 12k, when they warped to a planet. They left their drones behind, and a can. I head toward the can, when suddenly one is back - in a blackbird. Within seconds, i see the telltale flashing yellow box. I warp to a random planet. While the warp is aligning, the box turns red, and i panic. 2 explosions. half my shields are down. i warp out, and backup arrives at the planet near their belt. we both warp in (he had a battlecruiser i think, i'll ask eventually), and the now flagged BB warps out. he opens the can, and finds 3000m³ of Vivid Hemorphite. I warp to the station right as the BB comes back at 110k, and i grab my badger. I get back to the belt as the BB warps out again, made as quick a dash for the can as i could, and took it back to the station.

He let me keep all of it, because i was the one that made them run.

He has to go, so we go back to a station. A convorsation started:

Leet Al > If you could have a Caracal, Moa, or BB, which would you want?

Hippo117 > i've no idea

Leet Al > lol, ok... well, ecm is easy and cheap to use

Leet Al > Caracal does good damage but is fragile

Leet Al > Moa's just a beefy osprey

Hippo117 > well, which would be best for pirating?

Leet Al > Blackbird has six midslots, for lots of gadgets.. its fragile, but it can really perform with ECM

Leet Al > It's fairly cheap for a good ship too, around 4m I think

Hippo117 > thats what i was thinking... he hit me to 50% shield pretty fast... A lot faster than i could have done...

Leet Al > Blackbird has 3 missile and 3 turret with 4 highs

Leet Al > What kind of missile did he hit you with, Thunderbolt?

Hippo117 > dunnow, not in logs anymore

Leet Al > Id assume thunderbolts, they do EM damage

Hippo117 > ah

Leet Al > But yeah, the osprey sucks for fighting. I will buy you a Blackbird

So there it is, escrowed just a few jumps away. Wow. These guys are awesome (not to say the SG guys aren't though )...


And so just now, i've quit SectorCorp. Hopefully WoR will now take me in, and i'll have a more prosporout life...

We spent most of last night shooting travellers at the Stargates (in 0.4). Lotta fun, especially with the Sentry Guns hammering you. But also very tricky!

It's such as that, that keeps me out of low sec. You're indiscrimately killing people just for walking by, if you did that anywhere but in a game you'd be in a body bag. It's rediculous. And I think less of you for it. But I realize me wailing about the general level of homicidal maniacs is like this: so i won't even try anymore.

EVE has its fair share of body bags.

And please remember this is a game. I don't need to go into a discussion about it, for it's a waste of energy. That being said, I'm stopping this one in its tracks.
