Weapon types

Hybrids I get
lasers I get
Even Missiles make sense since the alterations, even if i don't understand all the rules yet
But can someone explain Projectile type weapons and what, besides the great low requirements, would attract people to them?

Er... Weapon types are really race specific. The only true way to use them is on Minmatar ships, or Angel faction ships. Projectiles are very good in burst damage as opposed to damage per second. The Tempest for example, has enough burst damage to cripple a Battleship in just three volleys.

I use a Tempest myself. 1400mm Howitzers are amazing.
Artillery is very long range, high damage, but slow rate of fire and horrible tracking.
Autocannons are short range, low damage, but high rate of fire and good tracking.
Some hits I pulled out of my logs:
VS NPCs

VS Structures
[2005.06.21 02:37:41] (combat) Your 1400mm Howitzer Artillery I perfectly strikes Caldari Control Tower [KKI], wrecking for 710.8 damage.

So using it for short-medium range(5km) on an Amarr destroyer might not be the best idea?

Dual Light Beams would probably be best on a Coercer.

Heh. Well, go with only your race specific skills first. Amarr use lasers and armor tank. So train energy turrets, engineering skills to improve your capicitor/power and mechanic skills for armor repair and hardeners.

And my main is a Gallente that specializes in Amarr ships (Though I will be going Minmatar very soon. Tempest +1400s=win)
