What do you mean 'you can't install it'?
Are the disks scratched? Are you getting an error message? Is a gremlin hopping out of the cracks in your keyboard and scaring you away?
My FS2 recently wouldn't install, but I just kept trying it over and over and eventually it worked.

I shall now use my psychic abilities.
I'm trying to install FS2 and I get a "system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications" error. What can I do?
This is actually a windows problem that affects some older games. Most people have solved it by simply copying the autoexec.nt file from C:\WINDOWS\repair to C:\WINDOWS\system32. If that doesn't work you can find the MS Knowledge Base article on the problem
here.
So. Did I guess correct as to the problem? If not post more details and we'll be happy to help.

I get a message like " Please go to the control panel to install and configure system components". I tried what you said kara and then went to my computer clicked the drive, and then my computer flipped out in some safe mode thing it started installing and then it stopped. Something else is that when i used to play it I had Windows xp home, my hard drive got messed up and they installed office one it, could that be the problem?

When exactly do you get this message? When you put the disk in the drive?
I predicted wrong BTW. When you said the problem was with the installer I expected the above error. This one is new to me.

I've heard of this message coming up in conjunction with autorun problems previously (but I only heard it in passing so I can't say whether it was the same problem you have).
