Nice. :)

A little too focused on the drums through the middle of the song for my tastes though. Good stuff though. :D

Somehow, it kind of reminds me of the mario tune...

Do you reckon you could try making a slow, epic like song? <.< >.> :)

I'm sure Hunter will be happy to comment on this sort of stuff. Music is his "bag".
Ninety-nine percent of women kiss with their eyes closed; which is why it's so difficult to identify a rapist.

Wouldn't that kinda require me getting FS2 (in working order that is)? ;)

At any rate, thanks for the comments. I used a program called Fruity Loops for it--it's pretty derned powerful once you know what you're doing, and the only restriction on the free version is that you can't save projects. You can export a mp3 file, but once it's been exported you can't open it again and get all the different instruments and/or mixes split out individually again. You can always just leave the program open all the time and hibernate instead of shut down.

Ah yeah fruity loops. I had a play with that myself a while back. Need to get a full version though. :p

You wouldn't necessarily need FS2, if your just making the music. Plus we could take little movie clips and then you try and fit the music to the video. :)

If you get the hang of it and feel confident enough, then I could certainly use the help. TAP is going to need a dedicated musician at some point. ;)

Yeah, that sounds good if I get enough spare time. Contact me through MSN sometime and I'll see what I can come up with, but don't expect anything earthshatteringly awesome for a while :P I don't have a particularly good library of sounds to go from; I'll have to start working up a few more instruments. At any rate, here's another track: http://www.stryker2.com/zip_files/track3.zip

Not bad, though slightly over-drummed for my tastes. Fruity loops is quite good for this sort of thing, but if you want more control over your loops etc, you'd do better with something like E-jay or Acid Pro.

The only thing I do have to say, and it's purely a matter of taste, is that theres rhythm or lead section to the tune, theres a lot of beat and a lot of Bass, which is great, but it needs, imho, a counterpoint, as in a chunky guitar or a keyboard wash over it, but loops always limit what is available.

No... No... Must... Resist... Urge... To... Show... Off... Lousy... Piece... GRAAAH!

Yes ¬_¬ This was my very first attempt at making something resembling music. Crappy? Yes, but I don't really care...

Oh, and I know the zip's size is only slightly smaller than the actual file's... I don't know why. No matter what compression I use, it never goes down by much.

And yes, apologies in advance: It is .wma. I couldn't get it into any other format ;_;

(BTW, this piece... I like the first minute or so, so I'm going to finish it and make it actually GOOD.)

Hmmm.... You know, Grug, you seem to want the kind of thing I enjoy making. Slow, picks up. My music tends to resemble music from movies...

Augh, enjoy this, if that's possible.

Because MP3 is already a very highly compressed audio file. It'd be near impossible to compress it more.

I'm working on a piece with a more choral arrangement... It's a lot different and harder than techno, because the instruments actually have to be in tune and have semi-functional chords in order to sound good. :P Techno you usually don't have many pitched instruments playing at once, so it's relatively easy to compose.

Wow Grimloq, that's pretty darn good. I liked it. There are a few bits that are a little to X-File'ish for me, but overall nice job mate. :)
Post more if you have it. :D

I do like the epic movie type music yeah, mainly because I'm hunting around for epic type music for TAP. ;)

@Stryker, if its harder to do, it usually means its going to pay off more. ;)
Keep at it! :D
