Just started to play this game over again. I noticed there's something called FS2 Open - and I'm assuming since the FS2 source code has been released FS2 Open is the open-source development? If so, is there a site just for the open-source game where I can find more information about it?

They've got a new site I think but I don't know the url. What they have done is pretty amazing though. The engine can now take much higher poly models and the graphics have been improved tenfold. If you have ever used FRED there are a lot more sexp's allowing for easier and different mission designing.
