Wings of Redemption has declared war on Omni-Core Freedom Fighters. After 24 hours fighting can legally occur between those invovled. You have just declared war on Omni-Core Freedom Fighters, which will be active in 24 hours. The weekly cost is 2,000,000.00 ISK and you will receive a bill which needs to be payed promptly to maintain the war. If the bill is not payed or the war is cancelled by other means, do not pay the last bill. When a war is cancelled, there is a 24 hour grace period where you can still be legally attacked. Note that if warring party enters an Alliance, the war will move over to that Alliance. Also note that if that party leaves the Alliance again, there is only a 24 hour grace period where you can attack him until the war expires and you need to declare again.

I despise you for being able to waste 2mil a week on a war.
I've been mining Concentrated Veldespaar for f#####g ages and I'm not even half way to getting the first mining laser upgrade.

Don't bother with Veldspar, go for Scordite or Plagioclase if you are in a safe system. It makes profit far faster

Plagioclase doesn't really appear until you get out into 0.6 space. At that point you're screwed if you're still in the rookie ship. Massive Scordite gives +10% yield so go for that. Also try to invest in the Refining Skill since that further enhances your yield. To help find Massive Scordite, you should find any Scordite Asteroid, right-click on it, and select "Add Scordite to Overview". That should add every Scordite Asteroid (Regular, Condensed, and Massive) to the overview located in the upper right.

I've taken to doing shuttle runs after some damn drones blasted me to death while I was mining.
50K a run ain't too bad, and at least I can buy some s### for my ship now.

This game progresses at too slow a pace. All this "6 Days till Level 3" bullshit gets real old real fast.

Invest in learning skills to speed up the skill progression.
It is a long term game, but it does become a pain in the butt to train new skills. The first month is a real b#stard.

Yep, Eve is not a fast game to start with alas, try going for some agent missions if you need a change of pace

I've been looking for various skills to buy (Analytical Mind, Science, Mechanics etc) but all the good s### is nowhere to be found - at least not within Minmatar space.
I'm going by Joran Tomel and I'm operating outta Rens for the time being - mostly because I've got various crap stashed in the neighbouring systems and no ship big enough to move it all.

Make sure you have the market set to "Regional" I just did a 10-jump trip to save 15000 on a mining drone.
