...when I put new ships in "ships.tbl" and if I reach over 380.000 kb, than I can“t start a game. That is because of greater amount of the file....and my question is: is there any kind of possibility to skip or to change that rule, so than I can make that file larger (I mean installing new ships into that file) than 380.000 kb, but which will allow me to play the game normaly?
I hope you understand, cause my english is not so good!!!
thanks...

No - You can't. However, the Source Code Project expands upon this. Here's a link;

This is very easy to run, you don't need any development skills to use it.

Alternately, you can reduce the size of your ships.tbl by replacing double spaces with single spaces, and removing text that's been commented out ( I believe with semicolons ; )

And with the release of the SCP, a rather pointless and time consuming alternative.

thanks, guys! These advices are good. I already tryed to reduce amount of file by erasing some sentences, but it was not enough. However, you gave me some ideas and links too, so i need to work out on it...
...thanks again!!!
