well, it's a first try of a few effects, so go easy
http://www.geocities.com/vasudanad/LuciferCannon.txt
i know i shouldn't have left the lensflare effects on with the beams glow, but i'd already done the other two glows and couldn't be bothered redoing them

you will also note that this is not quite like the lucy we saw in game. it is more like the lucy we saw in the fs1 cutscenes.

and the beam is not originating from the wrong place either (and no i am not going based off the fs2 intro

)
if anyone wants to hear the reasons the lucifer would fire the planetary bombardment cannons out from where it does in the pic and not the front prongs, just say so

Other than the rather strange looking Beam, it's a good start ! and btw, lens flares are ok when you know how to use them. Take B5.. hehe nothing but flares all over.

hehe, it is a very strange beam-remember that cbani in FS1? where Vasuda Prime got pummeled for 13(?) hours straight? it's a direct cut, paste & blur from the beam seen there.

so it technically is canon

Well, the beam is absolutely awesome, looks exactly like the CBAni one (Though If I'm reading this right that shouldn;t be a surprise
Otherwise, there's a little BG work to be done - there are a few too many stars for my tastes and the nebulas look a biot odd. Also, the entire pic seems sort of grainy - I'm not sure what would be causing that. (Note - if it's unfixable, turn this into a "recon" shot from the attack on Vasuda Prime

)

ppl don't seem to like the beam very much do they? i thought it would be a little different to all the standard beams that are always in renders. more interesting. not just a glowey white line with a coloured thicker line.
besides, i've been doing that sorta thing heaps with lightsaber effects got it worked out well, and wanted something looking a little different. this does that, and is canon at the same time, so that's what i went for.
think creatively!

tradition shouldn't limit
that.

lol, funny how the word creativity always seems to make any sentance it is in into a rousing speach!
edit: oh, forgot to reply to BW.

the BG was a three click result from glittaro, so yeah, improvements could be made there, and i shouldn't have softened the whole thing at the end either, that is probably the grainyness cause.

it's not ment to be a background or anything, just a test to see if that kind of beam worked and what ppl thought of it ( :s ), so i probs won't make it a recon shot
<span style='font-size:7pt;line-height:100%'>besides, i lost the layered psp version.....again....
