you may have noticed that i've sort of vanished. this is because real life and non-real life stuff have been causing me grief... AGAIN!

for a start, it seems that my lungs are being lazy. they're very tight and congested; i've got asthma. on top of that, it's only PROBABLY asthma. it could get worse. and knowing my luck...
also, my heart rate is running beween 80-110 AT REST. (topped out at 118 once, i think) needless to say, this is a bad thing. my blood pressure is normal, though.
plus, somehow i've lost about 8 lbs in less than a month... i have no idea how, but i have. this is also a bad thing.
on top of that are a few weird problems with my head. for example, an 8-day-long headache that climaxed into a migrane, then went away, two shooting pains - exact same place, exact same duration - across my temple in one week, and suddenly getting anothing migrane last night. ow. that hurt a lot...
plus, a whole host of problems with my behaviour, emotions (what little i have), and thoughts/personality.

my mom thinks it's stress, and even she wants me to see a psychiatrist. apparently i've got a twitch too... although i havn't noticed it.
the dangerous part is that asthma attacks are triggered by stress occasionally, you know? and we only have one inhaler in the house, and that one is my mom's since she needs it with her at all times... plus, deadly asthma attacks run in my family, or something (i didn't know asthma was hereditary...). this. is. bad.

and then there's the weird bit about my vision and hearing... o.O they went UP. my vision, as of a few months ago, was ~20/25. then, in january, we tested it again and now it's 20/13. strange...
and my hearing seems to have sharpened a LOT. i can't place it. it's just better.

however, there's also mild hallucenations, visual and audal, lots of headaches, exhaustion, and some twitching/shaking.

and my computer is going crazy. it's pleading to be reformatted (i have bits of games from 10 years ago still on teh drive, and i should change the file system anyway, i think), it needs a new video card (i'm workin' on it), needs a new monitor, (this one is huge, flickery, and yellow). you have no idea how annoying all that is... basicly, i can't 3D model or play games on it. games aren't very immersive anyway when everything is yellowish green.

so, all in all, my hands a a bit full at the moment. i'm not going to go through all the stuff causing me grief, since i don't want to kill hunter off with boredrome, but this is the general outline of the results.

i'll try to check in when i can, but don't expect much from me...

Go to a REAL doctor, not some quack head shrinker and tell them what you're symtoms are. Don't wait.

Also, Lib, there are times a psychiatrist is better qualified to deal with a problem. The really bad quacks, AFAIK, are psychologists, who are not medical doctors.

True. Depends on what the symptoms are, really...

See a doctor, then a pyschiatrist if the doctor can't find a physical cause.

And do it quick; there's no point in waiting (or indeed in not going).

And just FYI, 20/13 isn't nescessarily good either, since that means that you're far sighted... Now, they can say that, but its only true if you can no longer read things near you...

I don't know about 20/13, but 20/20 is 'normal', and where the 2nd number gets larger, eyesight gets worse. IIRC 20/200 is legally blind.

Sounds like stress, just about what my mom had a few months ago, when alot of stuff was happening. Or you could be turning into SpiderMan, with your vision and hearing getting better.

You're right; 20/13 is much better vision than 20/20.

its, x/y, as a ratio, that can e converted to almost any measurement system so long as the type you read (during the eye test) is at proportion to the distance away from the chart you are...

x= distance at which you can read a certian line
y= distance average others can read that same line

x will always equal 20, unless something goes wrong...

however, as y approaches 0, it means that you are farsighted, unless you can also read that line at the small y value...

it doesn't nescessarily mean that you're farsighted though, since that why i'm being called to an optometrist (i said i could read the bottom line of a chart, and i could, and because of that i 'failed'), thouch i can still see fine...

basically, it's case by case...

i think it means that what others see at 13 feet, i can see at 20. blargh.

and no, Hippo, i'm not farsighted- i can see everything up close too.
