Happy 229th Birthday to the United States Marine Corps. That's right, our premier fighting force predates the official formation of the country.

Air Force > Marines

Well, I know that if I absolutely couldn't get out of armed service, I'd prefer Air Force to Marines, but that's because I think I'd be safer with them, than going headfirst into battle with those crazy ass marines. Me = coward :p

And Hippo, if you say that in the south, they'll run you up a flag pole by your endtrails... crazy southerners... :p

Which would have with you walking into a dark alley? An Airman or a Marine sergeant? :)

SAS > Marines

Ah, you've made an error.

Yes the SAS is probably superior to the Marines, but the SAS is an equivalent group to the SEALs or Delta Force. They only take the best to begin with. Man for Man there is not a regular military group that can equal the prowess or honor of the United States Marine Corps. They take anyone who'll sign up and remold them into Marines.

I almost joined the Marines.

que? :?

I've been doing some reading. In all of history, out of a nation of over 350 million, only ~4,000,000 people have earned the right to be called United States Marine. That's just so very cool. 8)

meh
