Is that I've started seeing little selection bubbles above peoples heads in real life now!

I saw a clip on the Telly of a couple of politicians talking and shaking hands and I got this vision of selections like 'Start Illegal Arms Deal', 'Perform Insider Trading', 'Initiate World War 3' etc ;)

I must admit I rarely took a liking to it, but the recent one might get me...

What was it an0n said it needed on IRC...

*goes to check*

EDIT: an0n had the logs of the part i was looking for...

Shi: Yeah, which is why I decided to be evil when playing it.
Shi: It degrades into "kill the sims" very quick.
Hippo: i parked the schoolbus in the house out of random boredom
Shi: Too bad the Sims doesn't let you do things that are too wildly immoral.
Shi: Like screw children, throw babies out windows or drive around in a tank.
an0n|AVP: No, so you could make the 14 year old girl have sex with the father and then start cutting herself and trying to commit suicide
It was quite a bit longer, but thats about the jist of it :p ...

My problem with SIMS2 is this... It won't load.

It keeps telling me to remove the disk, and reinsert it... and if I use the disk in another drive, it just hangs, for a loooong while, then tells me to disble cd/dvd emulation software...

wtf?

Sounds like they have some 'copy protection' code on there whhich FUBARs it if it detects a virtual CD drive or possibly even CD-burning software..... does it say anything in the EULA about that area?

I'll have to read through it, but I don't know of any virtual CD drives on my system. And I'm 80% certain Nero isn't running.

Is it installed? It might do a simple registry scan for Nero, etc, reg keys. I think UbiSoft in particular are notorious for doing that sort of thing.

Nero is installed, yes...

If that's so, they can keep it, I'm not uninstalling nero to play this game...

Don't blame you. Any publisher who think that just cause you want to play their game that means you're not entitiled to do basic things like burn CDs with your own machine deserve to go under.
