For the Locking two threads, one on request (WTF? Who does that to begin with?) and one...for no readily apparent reason - and in Rants no less, when spam (consisting of dozen post conversations between him and Sparhawk which could be handled over IM or even in person FFS) is rife as is. The first charge alone should be enough to convict him of being an overzealous mod, the second only compounds the offences.

NB - If this is locked, I suspect it'll be fuel to the fire. If deleted... err... I'll post it again?

Hmmm. I second the motion. There was little reason for locking the 'Homosexuals' thread. I can, however, see the reason for locking the 'Damn, My Uni kicks Arse', and I think it needs deleting too I can see an element of 'Hippocracy' in locking it because of spam though Hippo. Basically, I think the message is 'don't exercise your moderating powers without good reason, do unto others as you'd like done to yourself.'

Word.

Lets see how it goes. I need more mods, actually.

I'm sorry but if you find that sort of thing offensive then your mother shouldn't be letting you out.

I locked those two threads on peoples requests. You want them unlocked, fine. YOu could have just said something.

I thought this was a bit drastic too... although the statement to cut spam was a little hypocritical... :nervous:

No, they were both requested, check for yourself if you don't belive me.

No, If you had paid ANY attention to the posts there, you'd see that was impossible.

Again, I was asked to close those two topics. I had a problem with closing the Homosexuals one, but did nonetheless. The other I was also asked to close, and while it didn't matter to me either way, I again listened to their request. So tell me, why am I being incarcerated for only doing what people wanted? I've said on several ocasions that rants is for anything, just as the blurb implies, but that people exploiting it with one word posts, or threads that went so far off topic that they turned into a smilie spamfest (see Grimloq's thread in FreeSpace)...

And as I've also said many, many times, I respect people's rights to say what they want, and wouldn't have thought to do that to this thread, without it completely losing purpose.

I agree that people asking to have them locked isn't the best reason, but they are valid ones at that. I was also carefull to note that I intended to include myself when i made that announcement, for exactly this reason. Why Black Wolf thinks past posts should apply to a new idea, I don't know.



My apology for the repetitiveness of this and my previous post, however most of you have given me the impression that things I have said, and posts other people have made are being ignored.
