The Red Sox are the Boston baseball team. They've been under Curse of the Bambino for about the last 82 years. Under this "curse" they haven't been able to win the world series.

Does it confuse anyone else that the world series only includes teams from America?

Hey! Don't forget Canada! :P

And yes, I love being a "typical arrogant American" with my "World Series." :P

Well take your "I'm a typical arrogant American" elsewhere. You're not wanted.

Just playing the Devil's advocate. :P

Besides, from the opinion of most of the rest of the world about baseball (besides maybe Japan, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba), I don't see why anyone should care what we call it.

Well, tell me someplace else, besides America and Japan, where they play baseball professionally.

Personally, I would love it if Japanese teams were part of the MLB. But they play be slightly different rules there. They don't stop for rain, for instance.

According to my Canadian foommate, Cuba and Peurto Rico could put up a serious challenge if they put in a national team. I know Japan play professionally, so could probably hold their own, and hell, Australia got Silver at the olympics...
