My turn to rant! Modelview is a bigger sack of crap than HLP

That's right! I was almost finished with the Sobek, when Modelview experienced an 'Unknown Error' and crashed, but not before corrupting my pof! I had to go back into MAX, fingers crossed, and prey that it'll convert again. BEcause the pofexporter crashes if you try to use it twice in one session, or if it finds something it doesn't like, or if it's Tuesday, or if the sky is blue or...

Actually, it was probably ripped from Duck Tales, but it was Futurama that I was quoting...
I miss Pinky and the Brain. The original ones, before Elmira mucked it up...

I didn't like that as much as the others. Too edgy and sarcastic. That's when the cartoons started to go downhill IMO.

Megas XLR has the same vibe as SK, but has a @$$kicking warrior woman from the future, the pilot weighs 350 lbs, and the sidekick is a jerk.

I remember all those shows...man were they kick-ass!
Really loved the theme song from Pinky and the Brain though, really,really nice!

The problem is that you're trying to use Modelview for something it wasn't designed to do. AFAIK even the high limits version VA worked on only had the limits bumped to 5000.

It happily displays Omni's 14 000 poly model, so i don't think that could be it.
The limits were something like 200 000 or so IIRC.
That said, i have no idea what could cause it to crash
and corrupt a model file. I've used it for years and never seen anything like that. :\
Have you tried converting it through TS and PCS?
