Does anyone know

Whether WMCoolman got the weapons .tbm file thing working and how the syntax for it worked. I'm ok with -shp.tbm files, but not the -wep files or whatever they are, and I can't search HLP to find out

I'm pretty sure I know how to get them working... but not entirely. I've got one file that works perfectly and one that crashes on load.
Guess which one is for TI?

It's probably to do with the species thing, it's pretty complex, and needs certain entries in the sound table etc

If it's an entirely new weapon, it will show up last in the list in FRED, (which means, if it's a fighter mounted weapon, it'll be behind the capship weapons, and not armable on a fighter from FRED) but it will be in-game. Just have the weapon in a normal weapons table, then take it out and put it in <name>-wep.tbm afterwards.

That's a regular Terran Turret I'm pretty sure, was just showing an example of the syntax.

Hmm, Phantyr is 3 hours away in Nashville and Moonsword is somewhere in Georgia. There seems to a growing concentration of us in the South.
