I can see some differences but, as requested above, please show us an untextured version. Looking good however :)

He bevelled in areas. Like the dark tiles, they're pushed into the body...

Sorry Grim, but I have to agree with Night Hammer. The texturing seems off, and some parts that need high polification haven't really had it. I'll assume it's a WIP though, and wait to see the untextured version before passing proper judgememnt though.

ya, after seeing the textured-in-areas and the render, it looks not-too-good... :| but it is a WIP, and im probably going to nearly totally re-do the hecate (have you SEEN how inefficient it is? its sickening!) and i can get you guys a non-textured render, but let me add some better stuff, first.
i been studying some of the other uberized ships, and i saw where i went wrong: everywehre :(

plus, all i had as a texturing reference was going into freespace 2's tech room and looking at the hecate in there.... so, ill get back to this (besides, that version took me about 3 hours to make... more of practice thna anything else :| )

i dont htink it looks worse, though :)

I took a second look at it, and I think it does look better. Still a lot of room for improvement and more hi-poly goodness, but a solid start :).

Methinks I'm going to High Polify a ship... some day... mayhaps

well, its not as easy as it looks, i found out hte hard way :)

actually, im redoing it as we speak. i havnt even started yet, but im removing all the extraneous and useless verts that just take up more triangulation space, and ive like, halved the polycount :| sad...

and expect a MUCH more clearly-uberized model next time. most of the changes i made were too subtle to be any good... i dont want to go the same way as the herc

Actually, I have a halfway decent Sobek mesh sitting on my hard disk. Only problem is the UV mapping needs to be worked on a little more. I get tired of doing that quickly. And I could probably stand to do a bit more detail on it, but it's a nice start. Could also be rounded a little more, also.

Actually, it doesn't look all that bad. I'm kind of a Hecate fan. It's definitely a WIP but a good start.

Make sure you've got all the textures in the right place when you render it.
