Injuries...

Long story short, my Tech Theatre class is retarted, and there's two of us that know what we're doing, but one has to do the projects (not me). So i runa round helping the manager of the auditorium either help the kids (who are beyond all rational thinking at most times), or doing something on stage, or on the catwalks...
Well, in the last 2 days of class, i've managed to gash myself 5 times... (ok, so one was at a show on saturday...)...
Injury Number 1:
When using a radial arm saw to cut several peices of wood the same size, one may put down a block to slide the wood up to, to eliminate the need of measuring each peice. All well and good, but you are supposed to attatch the block with 2 or 3 screws. Someone used a staple gun... So when they couldn't get it out, (not enough room for a hammer to pry) i came over, and go a firm grasp, and pulled. It came out with relative ease, since there was only .25 inches of staple going into the table. Problem is, there were 45 degree cuts in the wooden rip fence, where they had cut at angles. I managed to catch my wrist on them. That left a madium (half inch) gash in my wrist... But of course, it went across like, 3 veins, so i was bleeding enough to look like i'd just severed my hand... Hurt like a b**ch...
Injurt Number 2:
Bigass splinter, from someone walking around with a rough cut board, not paying attention to the part of it behind them... Left a nasty splinter in my middle finger and between my ring finger and baby finger on the smae hand. Finger wasn't much of a problem, but the one in my palm is still there :-\ ...
Injury Number 3;
Well, this one was mainly my own fault... Was adjusting foll-spots for the show saturday night, and managed to lean on the sharp edge of a HOT lamp... I wasn't happy... Its in a perfectly collinear line between the gash in my wrist, and the splinter in my palm... Didn't hurt much, but it was bleeding, and i wasn't done working, so before i could continue, i had to get a band-aid. They were 35 feet below me, and a good 300 foot walk from there... (walking wouldn't be the hard part here)... So i think, ok, i'll just grab one, and come back... One word: Ladder. 35 foot ladder, one handed, the whole time, its about 120 degrees (F) up there... Yeah... That was fun... :-\
Injury Number 4:
Back in class today. People stapling their flats together... *ping* *pain* *blood*
Someone had fired 3 staples at once (they REALLY aren't good at the whole power tool thing, ESPECIALLY the stapler...)... One had reflected off the other staples they put in, and grazed my right arm, right beside my elbow... It was only about an inch long, but considering i was hit by a staple going about 200ft/second, it still had an effect...
Injury Number 5:
Also today, about 10 minutes after the first staple incident. I have to say, this was part my fault, but not fully...
Someone had managed to get a staple lodged halfway out of the staple gun... Knowing what could and would happen to me if they just started pulling the trigger while i was pulling the staple out with pliars (wich ould involve depressing the tip safety), i had them disconnect it, and make sure it was discharged. Ok, no problem there... So i take the pliars, and start trying to pull the half staple out. pliars in my right hand, the student and myself holding the gun in his hands, and my left had keeping it from being pulled twards me)... So yeah, the staple came out... The whole half of it... It needed so much force to get it out though, that the pliars and the staple (still in my hand) swung accross my chest, and splita 2 inch line of flesh in my left arm, about 2 inches to the side of my elbow (almost opposite the one earlier today)... So yeah, the gun was unjammed, and my arm was bleeding. SO i (again) walk into the lighting storage, and take 3 band-aids. On my way there, (was only about 20 feet this time), i had 2 different people ask me to help them. Not caring to notice that i was dripping blood on the floor for the second time in half an hour.
I swear, with the exception of Injury 3, i do WAY TOO MUCH for this class...
