Power outages: the plauge of the internet (other then 3000ad and DS)...


It was quite interesting sitting here on my laptop, when all of a sudden the lights turned off... Then, 7 people, all from my same general area, signed off of aim at once... It was both amusing, and loud... From all those doors slamming...

You THINK. you also SWORE that your laptop would be in within 5 days of you ordering it. Was it? No. Your parents skipped out of comcast because it 5 dollars more expensive. Now, after buying a 2900 dollar laptop, are they really going to start paying more per month, along with laptop payments, along with a cable modem ($120 ish), a router since you want it on 2 computers ($50 ish), and possibly a linksys wireless router ($120 ish)? So now you, 'THINK' you're going to get it. History says no.

Tell me about it. Geez Hippo, don't have a cow. First off, we already have a router. Secondly, we're not doing wireless. Thirdly, the guy on the phone said it would be in last week. He was wrong. OK. You win that one (if it makes you feel better). Fourthly, they didn't skip out on comcast because of price. At the time they tought DSL was better.

So calm down Hippo. You're scaring people.
