Golan IIIs have been described as holding off multiple ISD- and VSD-class ships at once. Mainly it's because they're much harder to kill then such ships...

FS2 doesn't really have any weapons equivalencies for the turbolaser batteries, either. Nothing fits just right, because turbolasers can take one hell of a bite out of fighters and also do a heck of a job on capships, too.

Turbolasers are stupid anyway since the power rating is higher than the daily output of a main sequence star.

Now BW; tell me honestly, that you would want something like this, and explain to me why, and i might see your point, but right now, i don't.

A: The game will in fact support 100 turrets - the subobjuect limit is 110 or so.

B: He said at the beginning of the thread that he knew you couldn't have more than 7 turrets on a flyable cruiser, so there's no reason to suspect this is the same ship.

As for what it could be...

- Shivan Juggernaut
- Golan type area defence platform
- Terran/Vasudan jug with significant anti fighter defence
- Vessel from another universe (How many turrets do you think we'll be putting on the ISD and SSD?)
- Vessel from a different species (What do we know about the turret count on an ancient ship?).

I'm not saying it's going to be a masterpiece (not that there's any reason it can't be - see MeekGeek on HLP) but knocking both it and WeatherOp before you even see it (and not even saying why most 100 turret ships are frowned on) makes you look like a tool. Ask yourself if, say, Aldo or Bobbau had said they were making a hundred turret ship, would you lose whatever respect you have for them?
