[EDIT] Well, gone and fixed itself again, though I expect this is just another period of good workiness, and it'll likely go down again. The breakdowns are getting shorter though, which I assume is a good sign.

Doubt it - if it'd been once, or even twice, thatcould have been possible, but upgrades are generally done in one, quick burst to minimize downtime, and they're advertised beforehand. Nope, this is a bug of some kind, but irritatingly enough not one Gamespy seems to consider signifficant enough to actually post news about, or even talk to the HLP admins about.

Sadly, this is often the case with such companies. Because hosting is entirely free, then they aren't really going to bother saying anything - They should, but they don't.

Went to log into HLP this morning and it's down again. Meh, at least I'll have a valid response next time someone says they stopped coming here because it kept going offline

Gamespy isn't that bad as a host, they have pretty stable servers, maybe it is as Hunter said, they are doing some upgrades or something.
