If they did that then it wouldn't be much of a TV show. :p

Taking down Voyager was pretty impressive, infact that whole fight sequence at the end of Season 2 was something entirely new to a 1995 audience.

Who hadn't been watching B5 ?

When did DS9 get bored of being soppy and start going battle-mad ? Was that later ?

FInally got S2 of SG1 for chrimbo. It's okay but feels like it's missing the big killer hook.
Speaking of which, the TV repeats of Voyager have reached borg space....

For me that's when Voyager actually got interesting and I started watching it.

Yeah it's not too bad right now. May even get S3 on DVD.

Made it through to the end of S3 of SG1 too.

Last season.

And hi. I've never been able to obtain more than a couple episodes of B5.

More like Season 4-5. The Dominion appear at the end of Season 2. Good ep.

I guess all of the BSG remake fans approved of it.

-----------------

You can see the first two seasons of B5 on Hulu. And America Online's video-service-thing (I forget the name) has the rest, though I would recommend you not watch through them.

I'm just about finished with season four, myself.

Actually, do I need to have watched all of SG1/Atlantis in order to watch SGU?

It would be better if you did not watch SG-1 before watching SGU. Atlantis...well maybe.

Why's that ngtm1r? As long as you're open-minded and not expecting an SG-1 clone you're fine.

I've already seen 9 1/2 seasons of SG1 and a fair bit of Atlantis.

My question is simply whether SGU references events that happened in the other two (Atlantis and SG1 frequently referenced each other).

No not really, seeing as how it's a completely different kind of show.
