Snap can be set to have the curser lock to:

Vertices
Edges
Faces
Endpoints of Vertices, Edges, Faces
Midpoints of Edges
Grid Lines
Bounding boxes
Mid/end points of Bounding boxes, Gridlines

and more.

It comes in very handy for cutting faces, and other things...

I am glad to say I am nearly done with the outside of my model. But, sadly that is the easy part, since I have to add over 100 turrets :| . Maybe, I will get some pics out soon. :) See what yaw think.

Geez...what the heck has 100 turrets?

That Shivan Carrier from Inferno that looks like a worm.

True, Trival, true...although frankly, it's allowed to have a hundred turrets, because it's Shivan and the Shivans are supposed to be uber.

Me, I'm thinking orbital defense platform or sumthin'. Basically a big honkin' thing the GTVA would park in orbit over their capital in case the Shivans come back.

One problem with that.

Immobile + Shivans == death and debris;

Unless it's the size of a small continent then damage in one place doesn't neccessarily mean damage in another. Esecially if it's got distributed power sources that take up the slack of damaged or destroyed generators.

I'm sorry, but you just lost every shred of self respect you had earned with me...

And lib: if you expect the most powerful modeling tool in existance to be useable by 4 year old tards that complain that they only like truespace, then what kind of results do you expect to get? If you can't understand or handle it, then don't try. Find something you can, and live with it. Its simple as that.

And gradually, you're losing the respect I had for you.

At least see what he's turreting before you decide to blast it out of the water.

A: The game won't support more than 100 turrets

B: 100 turrets on a 200m cruiser?

Now BW; tell me honestly, that you would want something like this, and explain to me why, and i might see your point, but right now, i don't.

Ehh...I was thinking of it as being rather like a Golan III Space Defense Platform from Star Wars (as described in the books, anyways).

In other words, it's big, it will eat your smaller ships for breakfast, and fight your largest to a standstill.

On the other hand, it's probably easier to install LRBG-equivalents, or something even more powerful, on the ground and use them for orbital defense.

Dunce. I picked up TS within 2 hours of first using it. :p

Like Hippo says they're just different from MAX. Most of the people I hear complaining about TS are people already used to using another modelling program.

Besides now that there is a converter available for MAX there's no real reason to complain about TS.

Exactly why i stopped arguing about which is better :D ...

15 Tractor Beam Projectors
Consider it source material.

EDIT: Better?

Yes, but for what ship? Thats a bit skimpy for an ISD... mybe a VSD, or something else though... But that isn't too relevant either...
