here and enter the other FS forum. THe big one. The one that whose open discussion forum makes the rants section here look like a mild-mannered discussion of poetry between ltierary experts.

Oh, I dunno, some of those Literary types can be quite nasty
HLP is the 'centre' as it were, of the Freespace 2 community, they like a good heated debate and don't expect you to make any comment you cannot back up.
That said, it's great fun in there, and it's a good community

Then don't post in the more serious/flameworthy/overheating Hard Light threads. The rest of the forum's pretty sane, for the most part, in my experience, at least.

HLP has changed about 3 years ago it was diffrent not
Political threads or that much flame wars of course when I joined there were only 158 mempers but still.......
damn I been 4 years in FS comminity already

The VBB sucked up all the flames.
Small communities tend to be frendlier. If SG ever got as big as HLP it would probably stop being anywhere near as friendly.

*sihg* if its not nessecary, pleez dont swear at every oppertunity. my old school had so many people who swore so often, its just irritating now. i mena, they would manage to swear while discussing poetry.
