The Sempron is the 64-bit equivalent of the Duron isn't it?
If we move the forums, does that invalidate the agreement with GS and force the removal of the fileplanet stuff? That's alot of stuff, many gigabytes. Maybe even a percentage of a terabyte.

It's actually kinda funny because after IGN and GS joined all those proplems did start well that is one proof that IGN sucks

I could host most of the files. I have 200 gigs of space and if you were indeed going to host it on my server I would go buy another 200 gig hard drive just for the hell of it. That would be about half a terabyte there.

But does the licence agreement allow you to run any kind of server from your home? I'm guessing no.

Speed is quite important, reliability too. Your ISP might start hating us, and I'm not sure it could handle the stress itsself. Email Steak just to be sure though.

No, I asked them last night. I am allowed to run as large a server as I want off of my connection. I understand your concern though and will double check on that.
Does Steak already know I can host? I guess I could email him. Can someone PM me his email?

It's appreciated MatthewPapa, but I firstly don't think that the bandwidth (its speed, not its limit) would be sufficient to handle the times when the server load is heavier than usual. Forum browsing would be fine, but after a major release of some mod, we'd be in some serious trouble. Secondly, I don't think we'd like to burden you with such a responsibility. The gesture is great, but we'll almost certainly go with a plan from someone like 1and1.
