It's part of the inferiority complex. Kazan feels incredibly weak and stupid, so he compensates by being a computer geek/general intellectual with truthfully few equal at his age. The superiority complex comes into play because he feels he has to prove that he is the smartest one in the room and he gets very angry when he is shown up by an equal or superior.

It's a truly dangerous combination. When we have our battles over at HLP, I sometimes feel that if Kaz and I were in the same room he would probably attack me physically.
Dude - read his posts - he's smart, but not to the point of being where few can equal him. He has a few issues, a few points, and he repeats them ad infinitum. Sure, they're compelling points, but they're static. I know... at least half a dozen people who could probably out debate him (on issues of mutual interest that is - I doubt most of these guys give a toss about the bill of rights or whatever) without ever getting as worked up as he seems to need to.

He's nowhere near as clever as people think. Yes, he's bright - but not exceptional. If he was, he wouldn't feel the need to boast about knowing xx languages or take the huff whenever some is 'insulting his intelligence'. It's not as if there's a shortage of educated people in the community, is it? (I'd wager many of the 22+ aged people in the community have degrees et al, especially those working on the SCP, and most of those old enough, do go to uni - which would make a pretty smart group)

He would appear to be a very, very bad loser RE: the election. Anyone notices he's got a lot less elegant and uses a lot more out & out insults + CAPS!!¬¬!¬!!!1111 boldbold now?

the election was a really screwed up weirdness. we got that idiot again, i dont beleive it....

*ahem* anyway:

trying to prove yourself isnt dangerous at all, methinks. however, getting all huffy and annoyed when someone who IS better than you shows up. im used to it though, and he will become too. im VERY easily humbled by VA or flip, and (although he will definately deny it) black wolf. so, once he just hangs around some uber-coders or something, then hell be cut down to size eventually.

well, ive never met him, but thats my (un)educated opinion. :)

Next time Kaz goes on one of his rants, I'm going to simply post:

"STFU Kazan! It doesn't even matter anymore wether you're right or wrong, because you've made yourself into the maltempered lunatic on the street who nobody listens to anymore."

I'm planning my attack...
I'm thinking the first post will be that, and when he replies, it'll be picture after picture of inconsequential object.

Only problem is, he tends to try to ICQ me whenever I disagree with him...

So? There's a 'block' option, isn't there?
