Actually, they're remaking R1 first.... which I personally think is really stupid. If they want to make a bunch of changes to how the game works, and their story and ships and all that s###, fine, but don't remake the first release just to do it... that's what consecutive releases are for.
And the Story: "For some reason on unimportant to the player, the EA are BAD-- We must conquer Sol! Oh s###, they have the Gate! Good thing it's guns can only reach 4 km out even though it's 12 km wide, cause' now we can use our Vasudan Beams to kill it from 20 km away! Hey look, it's Earth-- wtf Nemesis, whatever, it's a pussy ship. Hahaha! Now we have taken Sol! OMFG?!?! SHIVANENS!?

if you hatd inferno, thats your buisness, but pleez dont make the rest of us suffer for youre dislike of a particular campaign
personally, i htink inferno sounds good. huge ships, while easily outmoded by smaller, more specialized vessels, they sure are cool! and hard to make, too.

I never got that deeply ino Inferno either, meself. I didn't even beat R1. The changes to the sound effects were unnecessary and confusing, and a lot of the ships were just plain ugly (principally the Vasudan ships, though the EA were bloody awesome as far as texturing and continuity goes)
