They don't make the HDMI converter for the 360 anymore.

Wait wait wait wait. What? For real? The whole point of a nxt-gen console is the graphics. What's the point without an HDMI? Might as well just put a big 'BUY PS3' sign on the front of it.

They don't make the converter anymore. You can still buy the version with the HDMI port.

Oh. And you have an old version but don't have a convertor? That sucks. Ebay?
Component video?

No, I got the new one when I discovered the converter is not made anymore. It's like over 100 bucks on Ebay. Might as well get a new machine.

Well got my 360 up and running and it runs Forza3 just fine. It isn't detecting the hard-drive though.
I'll probably get a n external but this has cost enough and I can't be arsed right now.
Watch and learn kids. Don't buy used 360s. It ain't worth the hassle!

Better solution: Don't buy inferior Hardware at all, new or used.

So I need to get some storage if I'm to get all car geeky on Forza 3. How do these [url=
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OFFICIAL-XBOX-360 ... 27abf7f550]things[/url[ work ? Do they just plug in to the front where the slots are, like PS1/GC memory cards or some other means ? USB ?
I don't need a whole lot of storage, just save games, user profile and game content off an offical disk ?

I thought they were sort of plug-in-and-play type things that replace the existing drive (or slot into the empty hole if there isn't one)?

I hope so as this getting to be a serious PITA...

I'm told the transfer rate between memory stick, compaired to a tru hard drive, isn't sufficent to make it worth the effort. Elites are getting to <£150 so I think I'll stump up the dosh nearer payday in a couple of weeks.
Whole thing has been a right ballache.

I am wondering whether to get a PS3 or 360.
I'm questioning not only whether or not to get a console but out of the PS3/360, which one to get (I already own a Wii).
All my instincts tell me 360,
But I don't like the idea of a Live subscription, or that the PS3 is built on newer tech with generally more oomph...
But then again I would like to have games to play.
It's a tough one.

Look down the PS3/360 exclusive-title rosters and see which list tickles your fancy more. That's probably the easiest way to do it.
