Oh contrair. You can buy the game and its expansion for 20$ at best buy, clearly it's not worth that much.

It's because you're batshit crazy if you want to download it, so Steam don't sell it.

There are plenty of games steam sells that you'd be crazy to download. It's not like it costs Steam anything just to have it available. 4GB or so of storage space is practically free.

And who said they don't sell it? He just said it wasn't in that pack.

I dunno, I just downloaded about 10GB of GRID* after my last post (in this thread). And next up is mirrors edge for less than 3 quid 50.

*which is a jolly good game, may I add

Mirrors Edge eh? I have that game on Disk. Phenomenal, I really dont understand why the sales were so bad. I implore you to get it, regardless of whether or not "times is 'ard", £3.XX isn't much of a stretch and you will probably enjoy it.

And when you get it, I challenge you to beat my Time Trial on the tutorial level. I bet you can't :P

Also it sort-of disgusts me that a game like mirrors' edge is less that a fiver less than two years after release. Call of Duty 4 is still selling for a ridiculous price new, even with two sequels out and more than two years later.

I do like GRID, but it's a lot harder than a lot of driving games, got further on NFS Shift, but preferred GRID as a game.

Working my way through Titan Quest again, though, I doubt I'll get much playing done till I get the new computer, my Graphics card has a habit of overheating on 3D-Intense stuff :(

I'm finding GRID quite easy at the moment, but then the last 2 driving games I drove were SEGA Rally and Burnout 3 (PS2); the former which isn't really suited to my cheapo steering wheel, and the latter which is so busy as to be a jumble of colour.

Admittedly I still have one of the driving aids (I think it's steering?) turned on for GRID. It's still a pretty gorgeous game, and the F3000 races are fantastic. Not so keen on the 'classic' muscle cars or the balsa-wood TVR events.

Waiting on Mirrors Edge to download, now. Steam can be a bit slow in that regard, I think if - for example - I could have bought the game for £5 retail instead, I would have.

Also grabbed Monkey Island (remake) for less than £2, which was nice... although I can't help but think they should have added more frames of animation when they redrew the graphics in higher resolution.

You won't be dissapointed with Mirror's Edge. Actually it had very mixed opinions. It's a little frustrating at times, but if you get the hang of it, it's great.

I find it really relaxing for some reason.

I'm pissed off that ME appears to have the tutorial set to display all the controls as those of an xbox controller, though.

Really? Mine didn't do that, do you mean "Press X to jump" and that kind of crap? Because mine seemed right, I ran through it again yesterday and and I got "Left Shift" and "Spacebar"...

He he he... Ran through it.

Yup, 'press RB to open door' type stuff. I think it may be a bug with the logitech driver software, not sure. Pain in the nuts though.

Oh dear, oh dear.....

Dragon Age. Need to finish it. Haven't had the time to get even halfway.
