No you don't as Hippo proves.
Accidently typing a=b when you mean to type a==b is actually a somewhat common bug. I've even seen a correction to that error turn up as an SCP commit once

i'm still learning so much to a point that i'm making stupid spelling errors in variable names, or using a parenthasis instead of a bracket by mistake >_>
back on subject though...
