I wish we could take a trip up to Scotland, but my mom seems to think those pesky little mosquitos disappear south of the border. Mind you, most of the family is semi-allergic to too many stings, but still......

Mosquitos? You mean midges? Well... they're not that prevelant in the central lowlands if you stick to the cities. Just don't visit loch lomond expecting to be left alone...

No

I wouldn't mind visiting Scotland some time, but I'm thinking mainly the pubs and chicks.

Just to clarify, we will be implementing border checks after this summer due to the threat of terrorism posed by english football yobs.

Mosquitos are only common in the south really... The mosquito season is between August-November. If you happen to live near lots of trees and green stuff, as I do, expect a dozen in each room

THere are tonnes of midges around here (near Glasgow), possibly because I live next to a golf course & loch.

Do you get those water glider insects? They are about the size of a human hand in their wingspan and glide through the air. They *always* hang around lakes and ponds. All I have to do is step outside during a hot evening and there goes one, almost colliding with my head.

Nah, I'm not close enough to the water for that (it's about a half mile or so away)
