hehehe I still remember the outrage when the lead singer of Judas Priest came out, and all these rocker types were shocked?!?!

To me it seemed about as obvious as Boy George turning round and saying 'Actually, I occasionally like dressing effeminately.'

It's amazing what the human brain will blind itself to, simply because it doesn't want to believe the truth ;)

Just be who you are, it's who you're going to be whether you like it or not ;)

I'm with Raa. I'd rather be an outsider. It's lonely, but at least I can respect myself for making my own choices... even if they're bad ones. And Liberator, in that situation, if the guy doesn't back off, it's sexual harassment. It goes both ways.

While I would much rather have Sparhawk's situation, with everyone accepting others, it's just a fantasy. You cannot change people. Sadly.

Would you smack an ugly woman who came on to you? Probably not. That's why it's a hate crime Lib. You're applying a double standard there. Don't try to kid yourself that you're not.

A simple, 'Sorry, I'm flattered, but straight' has never failed to work for me :)

Raa, don't get me wrong, so would I, but all things being what they are, my preferences stand.

Heh. So do mine. ;)

I've been an outsider my whole life, and to an extent, I really like it.

Probably not. That was a hypothetical situation anyway. I've never been hit on ever. I'm not very attractive.

heh, me neither. and besides that, nobody likes to be within 20 feet of me. i look very untrustworthy, ie, i blink either alot or never, i wear dark cloths (around here thats 'uncool' and thus untrustworthy) and i like, dont breath properly :) its more subtle than most. i have no idea HOW i get enough air...

aahhh, outsiderness :) i love it. my whole life is made up of work, computer, work, computer :D what else is there? i always have SOME kind of bad experience if i leave the house... ALWAYS. lol, my skin is actually turning pale cuz i never go outside

but back to the topic, sry, i kinda went into a life-story there :|

Grim, we're posting on a message board regarding social issues. That's enough to make us all outsiders in some people's books.

Hehe. True.

And don't worry, grim. I live like that too. Work, school, home, computer, work, school, home, computer... every day.

Most of us do,

All my old mates are married or moved away or just unavailable for one reason or another, so I tend to live in front of my computer most of the time these days :)

I love being an EJ fan. People at my school accept the fact that I'm a fan of his and that's never going to change. I've been a fan since I was nine and have never been "popular". So I'm used to being different from other people my age.
