Err. Yes. My car is worthless.

*resists urge to spurt out how it looks brand new and has only 64,000 miles on it, which is good for a 97 model... yes resists that urge*

A grainy *gratuitous* night shot, too.

Not something I'd drive, personally, but it doesn't look bad from this end.

back to the destroyers-thing:

i think that the GTVA has a great many destroyers (a great many being more than about 20-40) for a start, if theyre as valuable as you guys say, then why would the GTVA recklessly blow up every NTF one they could find? eg: in the bit of the campaign when your in the 64th, you kill at least 2 destroyers, and a few corvettes and cruiesers as well. now, tell my why they didnt send in about 4-5 wings of perseuses armed with lot of stilettos and ahketons and disable them engines? it would have been cheaper, and if a destroyer was stopped, then any other NTF ships that jumped in would have had to go around, making it exponentially easier to disable each one in turn.
alternativly, they could have disabled their nav., which would have (i think) cut off their ability to make system-jumps.
the same thing applys to FS1, though not as much. when they tell you to destroy a HOL destroyer, they sound vaguely reluctant.

plus, they probably destroy each of those 7 destroyers (at least 7, could be more).

so?

So it's easier, in a combat situation, to paste one and make sure the enemy can't repair/recover it.

If the GTVA had the time and resources, I'm sure they would have tried it, but they didn't.

Also, Grim, for disabling a destroyer, they would have sent in light bombers rather than Perseuses. Probably with Herc IIs and Myrmidons flying escort, and maybe a couple of wings of Medusas on standby to crater that sucker if things went south on them.

I can put together a mission if you're interested.

It's the camera. It's Milano Red. If you search, it's one of Honda's most prized red colors, and it's well loved by anyone with it on their car...

Perhaps they had tried that early on in the war, and watched the NTF fanatically hit the self-destruct.

I think the GTVA had 35-50 destroyers pre-Capella. Now they probably have something like 18-26 in service. More, if they recommissioned some old Orions or Typhons out of necessity, but I still wouldn't put the number above 3 dozen, in any case, probably about half-and-half between older and newer designs.
