I'm biting my tongue for the sake of the community right now, but God, I'd love to let loose about my opinion of DS on HLP 
He's proved himself to be rude, arrogant, racist and petty.
He has ignored any relevant posts from HLP and responded only to the flaming ones, in other words he wants to find fault, I can't figure why half of HLP can't see this.
He blames HLP for filling Avault with flames, and yet, If you do a chronological order of the posts on HLP and AVault you will find that the first insults were cast by him, by making derogatory comments about the SCP. He was flamebaiting. Our guys shouldn't have fallen for it, I'll admit, but he was, once again, trying to incite a flamewar from the moment he knew HLPers were reading his posts. His henchmen helped out by doing the 'lamespace' crap etc, if they didn't think that would incite flames, they wouldn't have done it.
Members of his own henchmen were making veiled threats to hack HLP and shut it down, or rather, Hack Gamespy and shut HLP down. Once again, they judge us by our comments, and yet refuse to judge themselves by their own.
The list goes on.

Meh, let them be childish HIG.
They WANT to find fault in us, I've been saying it from the start, they are flamebaiting for a reason, the more we respond atm, the easier it is for them to point fingers. And the less able we are to focus on what is really going on.

I was talking today with friend of mine who is Small indie game developer
when I said that Derek trys get FS licence he just said

Do a google for 'derek smart' and look at the first result.
Interestingly though, underneath it, there are plenty of references to the FS rights issue, so i'm hoping that this attention will draw masses in/back to FS, which could, conceivably bolster the community attempts to get the rights to amazing heights, and possibly success.
Though i don't normally get involved at all in this sorta thing, my own stance is that it would be beyond incredible if the FS community could turn the worst thing that happened to it into the best.
