Canada is actually British English and not American English (with spelling and pronouncing, accent irrelevant), and also have the same holidays.

On a Christmassy note, the ####### neighbours have put these lights outside, and so now I can't get to sleep. I'm going round tomorrow to cut the sodding wire, or I'll be putting up with it for weeks.
