Singapore's not as bad as Heathrow. :(
Oh, I know. My connection to get back home was Heathrow - it's probably the worst airport in the world, or at least the worst major one.
Undoubtedly the worst in the world. On every occasion I've been there there's been something up.

Haha, yet my parents think highly of Heathrow. Then again, they tend to think highly of anything British. Incheon airport is out of this world. As is Dubai, although a tad busy.

The A380 seems similar to the 777 with an extra deck.

You should have seen the growl I got from one woman at Heathrow when I was vocally bitching about the airport - especially T5 - to Mrs Aldo. Needless to say, this was a quote to b**ch even louder and at more length ;)

Funnily enough, that's exactly what Mrs Aldo said. Except for the thumbs up part, because no-one says 'thumbs up' nowadays. ;)

Heathrow, while a good airport, is just generally too busy to be called it.
This is why it is a bad airport.

And worst ever? Hmm.... I can think of one other place that may rival it. They get a lot of arrivals, but strangely departures are quite rare...

From what I recall, Atlanta's airport has actually surpassed O'Hare as the busiest in the world over the past year or two.

Not that I'm any sort of authority on such things, as I've never so much as set foot on any sort of plane. :P

Then again, it's probably a much bigger airport than Heathrow.
In terms of international arrivals and departures Heathrow is far busier than O'Hare or Atlanta. Which may give the impression of it actually being busier since customs/immegration are a large factor in that.

Especially as customs / immigration at Heathrow are a f#####g mess. Heathrow is the busiest international airport, true, but Singapore (for example - I've not been to the others) is 6th busiest and approximately one billion times better - cleaner, better laid out, better facilities, and clearer announcements (the Heathrow announcer is at best barely intelligible). Even if they did mislay my bags (arguably, that wasn't helped by having a bag of tea leaves, which I'd imagine does look rather dodgy on x-ray).

O'Hare or Atlanta are bigger than Heathrow in terms of annual passengers and flight take-offs / landings, though. Not that it matters, IMO, as Heathrows problem isn't in size but design; even if you forgive the shambolic layout as the inevitable result of growing over numerous decades, it doesn't excuse the fiasco of terminal 5.
