Didn't get it?
I've had that happen to me all the time. In fact there have veen occasions where I've woken up in the middle of the night knowing I've had a great dream and wanting to tell people and then in the morning all I can remember is that I woke up having had a great dream.

Oh, I thought you were trying to make a point about the various themes from my dreams. Yep, my dreams fade fast. I've heard there are techniques to improve dream recall but I can't really be bothered...

I used to write them down if I had a really good one. But my handwriting is dreadful at the best of times and writing at 4am by the brightest light that won't hurt my eyes does not improve it.

I can barely pour my coffee into the cup at that time, often I find (about 10 hours later) that I spilled half of it on the worktop.

What i have noticed is the less i sleep, the longer my dream is. I can sleep for 10 hours and sometimes i don't even dream, but if i wake up 8 hours through it, and then go back to sleep, that's when the weirdness starts. Only problem is i always have nightmares so i am kinda afraid to go to sleep.
Sound like a common fear and stress combined resulted dreams. We don't always feel the physical symptoms of stress or fear, but these feelings could easily get 'emphasized' when our minds are in a more relax stage while we sleep.
People do dream every night (or day) when they sleep, but whether they recall what they dreamed it's another matter. Often, we don't remember our dreams because of our routine stress and worries

I had the weirdest dream the other night.
I was with Dracula and a female police officer in Shropshire fighting Nazis next to the flaming mansion of the Foster Family, when Iraqi insurgents jumped out of the bushes wielding Toffee ice-creams that were melting, lead by Saren Arterius of Mass Effect, who said 'You cannot defeat me!' and was spontaneously frozen on the spot. I then began battling him, using the battle system from Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic. I then saw a side view of the battle, rendered in Harry Potter and the Philosophers' stone for Gameboy Colour-style graphics, and I began throwing fireballs at him (with him still frozen) and I transformed into Mario.

You should pitch that to Robot Chicken's creator.

Is that even how you spell w(ei)rdest? Oi vey I'm off form today. Too many images of strange dreams and Tom Morello lookalikes filling my screen with their nose bellowing questions about how I am.

Have any of you ever dreamed about losing eyesight?

I dreamed that I died once. I fell off a building and, instead of waking up, I continued to dreaming. it was all dark and all I could see were these faint purple objects. after a little while, I woke up.

Well after a series of dreams I remember the last one I had before waking up. It started off in a night sky, there was folks around shouting about flying stars. We looked up and there was nothing. But after a while a formation of four-five white lights appeared in the sky, to which I remarked "Awesome!" - They moved around and danced over the sky before disappearing. Several more light again appeared in a different constellation of the sky, doing the same thing. Sadly the dream kind of fell apart like a bad episode of the Simpsons. Soon after I (there was others, but they vanished) witnessed what appeared to be a railgun like platform in the sky firing awesome looking railgun bolts at the lights in the sky, with a series of missiles (with decent looking smoke trails) following. Soon after it turned into a weirdo battle, where there was several platforms belonging to us fighting off these lights in the sky that somehow turned into Wraith Darts and Cylon Bombers after I zoomed into the battle in the clouds (think computer game style). Then, I used an extra long pair of what appeared to be chopsticks to hold some of the Wraith Darts in place so that the railguns could hit them. Assuming we were losing, I guess my brain decided to make things more interested by giving us a Centauri Cruiser (if you don't get the references that's ok) to fight against the enemy. That really evened out the odds. Before the dream ended, I was left standing there watching the single Centauri Cruiser finishing off a Cylon Bomber. Ah yes, weird indeed. But it has given me a great idea for my Descent 3 project.

I take it the ship's computer will flood the cockpit with a hallucinogen in this project.

Ah, well this wasn't a lay in dream but more of a 'lack of sleep' one perhaps. I wish I could remember more details. Has anyone ever had a dream which kind of bleeded into your reality? I was dreaming I was with my friend, who was staying over at my place (coincidentally she is someone I rarely see, and used to have shall we say strong feelings for..) and we were chatting. It was dark, and raining outside, suggesting it was the middle of the night. After that, we slept. This was a "sometime later" dream, perhaps. She slept on the other side of my room. I stayed under my covers for a bit and couldn't sleep. I studied. I thought about her. Then I asked if she was asleep, and I guess she was. I thought she would be cold because it was raining and a little windy. It's summer, so I keep the windows open. Anyway then I kind of woke up. Although I think my brain didn't register. I looked over to the other side of the room to see if she was still there, but well, ofcourse, just an empty room. I was convinced at that moment it was real until checking. It's dark, and raining outside - just like in the dream. This dream gives me strong feelings.. I know I was in love with that person and it's difficult to let it go without resolution after all this time.
I had another very interesting dream shortly after, but not as potent nor was it related. This was all a few moments ago, though.
