Well... Wouldnt hurt putting a java IRC linked to the D3 gamesurge chat. Thats where most of the community is these days. Least for D3... As for Freespace... That died long ago.

Heh, The freespace community isnt' dead, much farther from it than D3, they have the full source code for FS2, so they're still making it better, whereas D3 players get screwed because the company split apart and the guy who owns the source code won't give it up. He even tries to lease the engine for $30,000. It wouldn't compare ever to today's graphics....

Then why is there so little freespace talk? And at elast people still actually PLAY D3 online.

There's little FS talk cause most people go to HLP or GW to talk FS2.

My excuse is time, I'm actually on here quite often, but don't have the time to dedicate as much as I would like. Things like TI, for example, are moving at a snails pace (but,at least, moving), if I had more free time to dedicate to it I would do so, but I've got so much on my plate at the moment that I'm run off my feet half the time.

I guess you're referring to us and why we don't post here. The truth is I'm not that busy these days... still haven't found a new multiplayer game that I like, and even if I did I wouldn't be able to play it until I replace at least my motherboard and heatsink. Hunter, I think your first post hit the nail on the head. There has to be a game or games we can talk about or this place won't exist forever. Also, I don't really know anything about most of the games here and I don't really know any of the people here, which is why I don't post much. I guess I'd get to know them by playing a game with them... which is how I got involved in the first place, apparently...
