I ask cause I thinkthe launcher still ships with Launcher 5.5a and the most recent version 5.5c has improved joystic selection options

It's probably because Descent (whatever edition) is more fun than Freespace for some people (me included, though ofcourse I do like Freespace or we wouldn't be here..
) and I know that Matt is a big Descent fan.

descent and freespace cannot be compared. that is why interplay/parallax went bankrupt.

There's never any good games going when I check, and I'm too busy with my clan in other games.
And 75% of the clan's hope for survival rests on the parents' decisions whether or not to sign up for EVE... Obviously, that's not good.
