Good to hear that, WP.
It was on tracker. There was a game for about 3 hours. I'll be on again today, but I don't know what times! I might just leave the server up and check it every so often..

Good idea, but I have LOTS of homework. Should be doing some right now...

I've put a game up. I'll be idle on and off.

I was watching it all afternoon, wishing I could join...
You'll have to publically schedule a grand game upon release, like 16 people. That would be awesome.

If you let me know in advance I can put the release up in the news-section of planetdescent. At least if that's the audience you want for a release game

I can see lots of crashing or disconnecting in the near future

We need a server up that is designed to host like 6 8+ player games to run one Basewars.

Well atm the problem is getting every to play at the same time, which will probably still be hard even after release.

Well, it's possible. Sunday-CTF usually has 15+ attendents, so it is possible.

Can't be sure how such a huge, packet loading level could handle that many players though. Even though I did design it with ping in mind (slower firing weapons, fewer particles and more animations, etc)

Yes, 15+ in addition to other games going. Maybe some highly dedicated D3 server could host for you? Maybe the Sunday CTF server? I know that has a 30 player limit, easily capable of 8-10 players on basewars.

It's not the problem of finding a server, it's that lots of players may/may not get thrown off and/or crash a lot. It depends on each individual system.

That was the first part. Most people are on on sunday afternoon. Thats would be a good time to host. (It might be earlier than your usual hosting time. (which to me are bizarre...))

The time (9pm GMT = 4pmEST) would have been good for me, but I'm still moving stuff from my old house, should be done soon. What time zone are you in, Matt?
9pm GMT =
3pm CST... 2pm MST... 1pm PST.
