My car's only been properly vandalized once (someone caved the hood in while it was sitting in the school parking lot) but it's been in for body repair at least three times. Backed into (damaged hood, again, and fender), taken the brunt of a light hit-and-run (other fender), backed in to by a dumptruck (spoiler only, thank God) and hit in a parking lot (bumper). All cosmetic, thankfully, aside from fender damage that affected the headlight aim. Worth noting that they all happened when the car was stopped (two of those happened while I was in the car, stopped either waiting for a parking lot to clear or at a stop sign) where I was exactly where I was supposed to be. People should really learn to drive.

i cant say ive ever had a car vandalized, just the normal shoe polish writing on the windows around homecoming or a big game and stuff like that in high school, nothing big, although that stuff is a b**ch to clean off

I've never bothered to get my license for a car.

I think it's something to do with 'tracking rods' (or whatever its called). Basically the steel rod along my front axel keeping my wheels pointing in the same direction could come loose at any moment

Reminds me of when my brother pranged his Manta-A. It was an insurance write off, since Manta parts are expensive. However, for that very raeson, one night someone came along with a tow-truck and stole the entire car. It was completely banana'd but had enough parts in working to order to have been worth a fair bit.

Manta parts aren't expensive (though some rare body panels attract a premium)
btw, you know Ming is another name for a silent-but-deadly right ?

They do that with Integras allt he fecking time. because every interior and drivetrain peice will bolt directly onto a 500.00 civic frame. In some cases, even the front end is bolted on. :s

Well, for Manta A's it's mostly stuff like Suspension, Shocks, Brakes etc, which are different from the Manta 'B's, and are pretty thin on the ground these days.
With regards to Ming, well in that case, mine are merciless

Do you drive?

I can drive yes.
Don't really need to though.
Plus with the amount it costs to get one's license these days, and the costs of running a car... >..>
Doesn't really appeal to me.
Maybe one day later when I have less distractions and more money.

I thought you like taking public transportation any where you go

But yeah, you have a point. A car can be a burden sometimes (gas, maintenace, insurance, road taxes) when you don't have extra cash to give away.

Not can you -- do you. As in, in protest against licensing or something.
