I used to mess around with Fruity Loops, but the I never relly got fully into it.
I've only got an onboard sound card at the moment. Realtek AC-97. I've got a Logitec set of 5.1 speakers set up to it and it sounds they sound alright for surround sound and games etc.
I wouldn't mind trying to get back into digital music again. I'm eager to pick up some more plugs so I can test out a recording of my guitar. I assume you can make custom samples etc?
But yeah, what kind of sound card would be the best way to go?
I'm pretty happy wih the speakers I have, the 6.1 means 7 channels, and my current sound card only allows 6 channels. But they emulate the rear speaker pretty well I reckon.
What's this 'specialized' card you have?
