I've fenced with a 6mil spawn including 2x 1mil escorts + 10 interceptors. That's scary. And I was in a Dominix, everyone underestimates that ship. What I like about it is everyone sees me and goes "What setup has he got this time?".

But it should be worth noting the first time I came across such a spawn, both myself and wingmate lost our battleships. That was about two years ago though.... When such spawns were rare as gold.

I have trouble with the freaking serpentis cruiser spawns and their ****ing MWDs. i should use blasters instead of railguns.

Blasters are perfect once you have skills to tank. I should probably set you up access to the EVE site. I need someone to take over running that site actually since I can't juggle everything at once. Can you ask in SectorCorp mail for me? Someone with good HTML knowledge, since the EVE site has no database to speak of.

i take it that you also use AM ammo as well?

I did kill the two Megas, plus a 2mil Dom, a pair of 750k Megas, and a 2.5mil Dom. I bought myself a Jaguar off the bounties.

AM ammo is great, when you're shields are made of rice paper.

well, i've stopped flying combat missions mostly, and i've slowly been scaling up in the ship area.

i am usualy to be found in my prized celestis prospecting or my current iteron hauling or afk mining.

the rice paper comment stems frm the total lack of effect shields seem to have when coupled with a dedtroyer and a pilot who expects it to be as powerful as it's frigate cousins in general combat.

You're not trying to use blasters on a destroyer are you?

Nope, but neither will I ever use a "destroyer" for anything else either. I view it now as a trick ship, meant to fool n00bs into thinking it's a middleground ship between the frigates that they think they've outgrown and the ungodly expensive cruisers that they can't afford. And given that it's 5x more expensive than a frigate and 5x less expensive than a cruiser it really should be more generalized, right now it's like a surgeon's scalpel that only cuts a given type of flesh and won't cut anything else.

And for the record, my setup on the 2 dests that I owned were the following:

3x150mm rails(tungsten)
3x125mm rails(tungsten)
small shield booster
1mn AB(toward the end of the first 1)
basic nanofiber hull upgrades(toward the end of the second 1)
