Thats because not too many people are dumb enough to be brainwashed like they are. From my experiences(i lived in a military family my whole life) Marines are the people who score the lowest on the ASVAB(entry test) So theyre all pretty much too stupid to realize running through gunfights and diving on grenades isnt a good thing. Also why they dont have theyre own academy, the few of them that are smart enough have to goto the Naval Academy in Anapolis

I take exception to that statement. I am not a marine, and I have no intention of becoming one, but for crying out loud, you could at least show some respect to people who have done as much as they have.

You are in no place to tell me who to have respect for, I work for the Department of Defense I have a lot of interaction with Marines. My dad had been in the Air Force for all of my life and then some(Im 19) and my brother is in the Army over in Iraq right now. i think i know who to respect and when thanks

You're inter-branch contempt seems to run a bit high against the Marines though.

I haven't said you don't have respect for Marines, but your use of a stereotype that the Marines are less intelligent than other branches is in poor taste and has no place in real life.

Also, I thank and honor your father and your brother for their service.

how many marines do you know and interact with on a daily basis? I have no contempt for any branch of the military, they all have their flaws though. Air force, always look for the easiest way out even if it could put things at risk. Marines are dumb. Army folks do things in ways that have long since been obsolete. Squids(Navy) always over complicate things with bueracracy.

How can you say the Marines are dumb? Ether the Marines, Air Force, Army or Navy none of our armed forces deserved to be called Dumb. I salute them all.

Yes the SAS is probably superior to the Marines, but the SAS is an equivalent group to the SEALs or Delta Force. They only take the best to begin with. Man for Man there is not a regular military group that can equal the prowess or honor of the United States Marine Corps. They take anyone who'll sign up and remold them into Marines.

I almost joined the Marines.
Royal Marines (formerly part of the Commandos during WW2, now comprise the British Army commando regiments)

Of course, given that the US Marines are a full-on branch of the military (one of 5 - Army, Navy, Air Force, Coastguard, Marines), it's scarcely going to be a fair comparison in any terms of organisation, is it? I don't think many other nations have a tried & tested 170,000 man regiment to compare to the US Marines in scale, after all.

I do believe they all should be saluted, I respect the hell out of them, but they, for the most part, a half-witted group of individuals.

and I think Arkansas has got yall in the Iron Bowl

Arkansas can't play in the Iron Bowl. That's the In-State rivalry between Auburn University and the University of Alabama.

Alabama doesn't really have a chance this year as Auburn in currently #3 in the nation. My biggest concern in the Georgia game later today(it's already saturday here). Georgia is #5, but they have the same offensive style as Auburn so they know how to defend against it. If Auburn wins, they'll likely be ranked #1 after the shoutings over, it'll be the first time in at least 2 decades they have been ranked #1.

A radio show host, Paul Finebum(his real name is Finebaum, but he is a creep so you see...) is trying to sweettalk and suggest to the various schools that need coaches that Coach Tuberville will be looking for new employment at the end of the season and I hope the Finebum chokes to death on his own venom one day.

No they won't. Even if Auburn wins against Georgia and Alabama they still won't be ranked #1. Only is USC or OK loses. Hate stupid those stupid Ranking CPUs :x ! And even tho I go for Bama, they still have little or no chance in the Iron Bowl. Just hope they make it close.

BCS does suck i agree with all of you

Auburn should play SC in the championship if they win out. Auburn has 2 first round picks at RB and Campbell is having a great year
