Uh... it's an opinion. It can't be 'wrong'. I know most people think FS1 is better, but I still think FS2 is better in pretty much every way.

There wouldn't be any FS2 without FS1. So for me, they are both excellent, but for me FS1 has the better atmosphere, FS2 had the better action.

ya, ditto. although, i think that FS2 ships are better generally (they kept most of the old ones anywayz!) and the missions are more creative.

Definitely has to be FS2. More diverse and unique storyline, better uber-enemy ships, better weapons (beam cannons, anyone? 
), a greater variety of mission types (see Bearbaiting/Into the Lion's Den), more missions, and better voiceacting (Robert Loggia rocks 
). I enjoy FS1, but I think FS2 improved on it in every way.
