It was dark when I got home so I was going to take some arty-farty pictures with the side lights on so looked all dramatic 'n' stuff but the battry has discharged so the ebay pic will have to do:
It's an 1989 Nissan S12 Silvia ZX Turbo. With flippy headlights! Lights go up, lights go down etc
Had a right job driving it home. Had to batter the brakes to avoid getting involved in someone's crash on the M1 (I clenched there), lunatic sat-nav sending me all around the bloody place and the mother of all tailbacks across the pennines.

A road sign. Mrs Aldo and I visited York when it had been a mite wet.

No, Mrs Aldo prefers to skinny dip
Mr Aldo prefers Mrs Aldo skinny dips too. Mr Aldo, however, does not skinny dip in case his testicles turn blue and drop off.

She isn't afraid of the freezing cold water but you do?
Good thing that I don't swim so it is unlikely that I will be present at the same spot to witness the dipping...

Is that a Scottish thing ? Follow thw rain clouds!
Back to the car, I found a sticky rear brake caliper so no wonder performance has been a little disappointing. (I been driving with the brakes slightly applied).
Also had a Nismo kitted Z33 (350Z) in work today and they were briefly sat side by side! No pictures due to a dead phone battery though.

Had a "bit of an off" yesterday morning on the way to work. Back end snapped out exiting a roundabout I later found-out is notorious for diesel spills. She fishtailed before spinning and bouncing over the central reservation (basically a largeish kerb). No body damage but theres a pull to the left so wheel alignment is probably shagged ie; something in the suspension is probbably bent. No nasty noises and nothing looks too bad when I got it on a ramp. Just glad there were no cars nearby and the reservation didn't have a barrier.
Never had the backend break away like that before. Gave me a bit of a shock.
Anyway, gave it a wash today and just had to rip-off the knackered boot spoiler (they're always knackered)

Bumpage update! Still got the S12. It recently got some US/Aus spec tai-lights ("6-packs") and a fibreglass replica of the factory tailgate spoiler, colour coded.
I've resprayed the black rub strips on the front and rear bumpers, incidentally.
Got these wheels incoming;
More to come as and when
